The prompt for today's poetry challenge is "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." - (Frederick Douglas) This is a deep one because I work with children. I have seen what loving-caring families and neglectful families can do. Here is my attempt for today's poem.
Teach
I will teach you to be steady and courageous,
And I will teach you to be thoughtful and kind.
I will teach you to be adventurous and spirited,
And I will teach you to be gentle and considerate.
I will teach you to be strong when you are broken,
And I will teach you to take the broken and make it strong.
We are the ones who love you always,
And the village where you belong.

I will teach you to be adventurous and spirited,
And I will teach you to be gentle and considerate.
I will teach you to be strong when you are broken,
And I will teach you to take the broken and make it strong.
We are the ones who love you always,
And the village where you belong.
